Our History
What started as a celebration of Juneteenth becoming a national holiday has grown into a desire to expand and multiply our impact.

2021 Juneteenth

2022 Juneteenth
Event
The next year, Dr. Washington and her team hosted the 2nd Annual Ellavate Juneteenth Benefit Celebration, highlighting the history of Juneteenth, creating a vibrant opportunity for clients and friends of Ellavate in the DC area to connect, and awarding the nonprofit G.O.O.D Projects with $5,000 in donations.

Scholarship at Spelman College
In 2020, Spelman College, a private, historically Black, women's liberal arts college in Atlanta, Georgia, created the "Elevating Excellence in DEI Endowed Scholarship". In 2022, the Ellavate Solutions team raised and donated $15,000. To date, the scholarship has raised $100,000.
In 2025, the Ellavate Foundation raised $5,000 and brought together a group of volunteers to serve the community during a day of service at the Capital Area Food Bank.
Together, the team packed and distributed food for families across the region, reinforcing our belief that community building and service go hand in hand.
